Construction Project Manager (Location: Rolling Meadows, IL)
Job Description:
Buildout Pros is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in our Rolling Meadows office. This Project Manager will be managing specialty projects for some major national clients. These projects include, but are not limited to, the following industries: dental, storage, retail, etc. This is a fast paced position, so organization skills are key to success. We are looking for someone with Project Management experience, looking to take the next step in their career and join our team long-term!
Typical Job Responsibilities:
-
Reading construction documents and generating scopes of work
-
Create and maintain project schedule (critical path and look ahead)
-
Managing multiple projects
-
Negotiating and qualifying subcontractors
-
Work with architect, landlord, owner, client, etc. for smooth project from start to finish
-
Maintaining client communication/expectation regarding scheduling, completion dates, photo updates, etc.
-
Ensure initial photos, daily progress photos, and final photos are taken and uploaded into company portal
-
Review/prepare change orders
-
Maintain budget throughout project duration
-
Oversee/schedule all job inspections with proper authorities
-
Oversee final inspection, certificate of occupancy, punch list, project turnover, as-built drawings, and close-out manual documentation
-
Travel: Visit project on-site when necessary
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of two (2+) years of experience managing multiple commercial projects on the GC side
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Excellent organization skills
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Ability to generate scopes of work
-
Experience working and coordinating with subcontractors
-
Strong computer skills
-
(Preferred) Construction Management or Project Management Degree

Traveling Superintendent (Location: On Job Site)
Job Description:
Buildout Pros is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to join our team and work on projects throughout the country. This Traveling Superintendent will be the on-site manager and point of contact for major clientele. These projects include, but are not limited to, the following industries: dental, dispensary, light medical, retail, salon, storage, etc. It is key to have great communication and management skills. We are looking for someone with experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects, who can move at a fast pace looking to join our team long-term!
Typical Job Responsibilities:

Schedule Management & Planning

Work with Project Manager to create and monitor construction schedule

Coordinate daily activity for all subcontractors at all stages of construction
-
Complete all project construction in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
-
Create and manage a 2-week look-ahead schedule, updated daily/weekly
-
Develop strong relationships with City Building Officials and Inspectors to allow construction to meet quality and schedule goals
-
Ensure the project is turned over to the project owner on or before the date promised
-
Spend adequate time in the field: entire site - every floor, every room, every day

Complete daily/weekly project field reports and submit to Project Manager

Manage the project, personnel, and subcontractors to ensure the project is delivered on or under budget

Read, understand, and execute the scope of work identified in the subcontract agreement and construction plans

Mange subcontractor performance issues

Coordinator laborers, daily clean up, rental equipment on site

Travel: 95%+ of the time spent on a job-site
Qualifications:

Minimum of two (2+) years of experience as an on-site Superintendent for Commercial projects valued at ~$1mil+
-
The ability to travel for long periods of time (usually 2-6 months at a time)
-
Advanced knowledge of associated trades in all aspects of commercial construction
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications
-
Experience in scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors, equipment, etc.

Knowledge of safety regulations

Excellent communication skills

Detail oriented

Working Superintendent/Crew Leader (Traveling)
Job Description:

The individual will be working hands-on, so a strong knowledge of the trades are necessary. We are looking for someone with experience similar to a crew leader or finish carpenter on commercial projects.

Buildout Pros is seeking high level Travel Crews to join our team throughout the country. These crews, typically made of a foreman and crew members, will be the sole team or part of a team where we are either self-performing part or the whole project. The team will be working hands-on, so a strong knowledge of the trades are necessary. These projects include, but are not limited to, the following industries: dental, dispensary, light medical, retail, salon, storage, etc. It is key to have great communication and management skills. We are looking for a team with experience in commercial construction as a Traveling Crew.
